What is a Peer Supporter?

Peers provide emotional and social support to others who share a similar experience. Peer support services are about breaking down barriers, and providing a safe, stigma free support network for anyone that is in need of one.

Mental Health Peer Support

This is a trauma informed health program that provides  a multitude of healing support. Some programming include Sharing Circles, and a number of mental health wellness initiatives combination of online and in-person offered at no cost to the participants.

Guest speakers, mental health coping skills, topics based on the community's needs such as residential schools, intergenerational trauma, addictions, self-care. Light refreshments and craft supplies will be provided to create a safe and culturally inclusive environment for people of all genders.

Transportation can be a barrier to accessing services; aid will be available for those without transportation or who need gas reimbursement to attend support or programming.
